Training a puppy on not biting. We have decided to go with the route of gently pushing the puppy away and holding for a few seconds before offering something else. Praising if going for the new item, repeat if not.
Still no matter the method, how do you physically remove a puppy bite? My hand and arms are covered in new cuts.
Dog is on your hand, growling and tearing. You can't jerk away, that excites the dog and could hurt you or the dog some.
But it isn't reasonable to wait forever. What is your strategy for getting the dog to stop tearing into you?
