Hi everyone,
My husband and I need your help to solve a disagreement.
We have a 6 month old mini schnauzer who is our first dog together.
One of us wants a fake tree and the other one would prefer to have a real tree.
The concerns with a real tree are that needles will fall, our puppy will try to eat them and it’ll take a lot of redirection to train him not to eat them let alone if he does eat them what it’ll do health wise.
The person who wants the real tree is trying to keep our family tradition – going to pick out a real tree, bring it home, etc. Also, this persons thought process is that if we get a real tree and teach redirection now, it’ll be easier when he is older not to go up to the tree.
We do not have a big enough place for a fence around the tree… we’ve already discussed that option.
What do you all suggest? Do you guys get real trees or fake trees with a dog?
We have agreed that whatever the majority says on this post will be what we do lol.
