should I have my boy neutered when he’s old enough?

I just got a puppy [2months old, male, 3/4 border collie 1/4 australian kelpie] and I’ve been wondering if or not I should get him neutered when he’s old enough, at about 2 years. I don’t particularly mind behaviours like marking and humping and we’re not planning on getting a bitch any time soon, and I don’t want him to have to deal with a surgery that isn’t strictly necessary, but I am a little worried about him being intact limiting my options for boarding him if I ever need to go out of town for whatever reason, or doggy daycares if i get a more substantial job. Any advice?
