Chewing at 8.5 Months

Our mini Australian Sheppard is currently about 8.5 months old. We have worked a lot with a trainer but are currently struggling with him biting on certain items in our house: the back of the recliner, the corners of our carpet, a lamp cord, and random other things. We have tried the replace the item with something and giving him other things to do but have not been successful and it’s driving us nuts. It seems like it’s mostly soft items but not always. We have little baby gates around certain items, which is driving us nuts, but we can’t block everything and it’s not perfect.

He currently gets three walks a day, plenty of play, and some type of bone, Kong, or collagen chew each day. Our trainer was surprised he was still doing this because his teeth should be fully grown in by now. We were working on resource guarding but won’t see her for another week and a half and I wanted to get some advice on this. Anything we are doing wrong?
