I recently got a 5 month old puppy, and overall, my first dog is doing okay with her. He hasn’t shown any aggression or been territorial, which has been great! It’s been a week and a half so far, and he’s very tolerant of her puppy antics, and has recently started licking her a little bit. He plays with her outside some (mostly enjoys being chased by her), but inside he doesn’t interact with her a whole lot besides occasional sniffing, and now licking. Since I got her, he’s been extra clingy and a bit shut down (I think the shut down part is getting better), so I’m sure he’s jealous about having to share me with the puppy. 🙁
Just wondering how long it might take for them to be best buds. 😅 I should add that my 1st dog loves other dogs, which is why I got the second one.
