Is lack of naps during the day keeping your puppy up at night?

Our first night with our 10 week old puppy, she slept so good. We are crate training her, so I put the tv on and a fan for noise and a blanket of her crate. She whined a bit at first (5 minutes or so) then went to bed and slept almost all night long. The only reason she got up before 6 am was because I woke her up at 1 to pee, she did not even want to get up!!

Second night, she cried and screamed and howled for 3 hours straight. To the point where we couldn’t ignore it, I don’t want her to suffer either so I came out here with her. That day previously, we had a lot of people over and she only napped for about 15-20 minutes, once during the day. I’m wondering if lack of sleep during the day will cause her to be up at night? Everyone always says “keep her awake so she’ll sleep”, but I just don’t think that’s how her little body works. Insight!!?
