We have two herding dogs and a small orange tabby cat. Our one dog doesn’t have a problem with the cat and sometimes our cat will try to play with her but our other dog every time the cat is out – will very very aggressively chase him and bark to the point that our cat has to stay in a different room basically all hours of the day other than night when he gets to run around the house and the dogs are locked in our room.
We don’t really know what to do and would love any advice as we want our cat to have the best life and also wanna be around him more. we have to dedicate times of the day that we sit in the room with him and play in pet him. My husband & I at this point are thinking if we can’t figure out how to train the dogs – we might have to give our cat to a better home where he can have a better lifestyle.
Any advice would be super helpful! (we’ve tried treat training the dogs around the cat but the cat tends to hide under the bed.)
