Really Bad Anxiety about leaving my puppy for travel

Hi everyone,

I am on here to vent I think and maybe some reassurance.

I have a 6 month old golden retriever puppy.

I live in Australia but am originally from the Uk, I am flying home in 2 weeks to go and see my nan who isn't doing the best, I am away for 5 weeks.

I wasn't able to find ANYONE to watch her while we are away that wouldn't require her being on her own for 10+ hours a day.

So she is going to a small doggy day care and staying with this woman for the 5 weeks.

Here is where my anxiety kicks in….

She is an inside dog, she sleeps upstairs in my room that is carpeted on her bed.

While she is away she might be sleeping outside, the pet sitter has been really reassuring and told me that she sleeps outside in the shed with them on a human bed the whole time. I don't know if my puppy will be sleeping outside the shed with blankets or inside the shed with the human.

I am worried that she is going to be cold or scared while sleeping as she is an inside dog. It will be winter in Australia so it drops to around 10°-15° C at night.

I am also worried as she is not de sexed yet, we wanted to but the vet said we should wait until she is a bit older for her best interest. But I'm scared that she might come on heat while she is there as she will be with other dogs.

The good news is this sitter own a small run pet sitting business like a day care where she takes them out to the beach and park almost every day. She has a really nice set up with lots of toys and fun during the day.

The night is where my anxiety comes in, am I overthinking this??
