I’m about to lose a dog for the first time. What recommendations do you have? What should I try to do with him?

Basically the title. I just got told to bring my boy home and spend as much time with him as possible. Outside of just being present, is there anything you are really glad you did with them (bring them somewhere they love, get a pup cup) or anything you wish you got (i have his paw print tattooed on me and some doggy art)?
