We just brought our sweet 16 week bernedoodle pup home yesterday. We put him in his crate and he peed in there. Then, we made his crate smaller with the divider. He pooped last night even though we took him out as soon as we got home. We took him out several more times before he went to bed, nothing. Want to clarify we woke up 3 times to take him out during the night – he didn’t go. This morning we took him out as soon as he woke up and he wouldn’t go! So we brought him in to eat his breakfast and play a little, then out again. Nothing. Soon as we come in, he pees in his pen. Now he’s sitting in his crate. What are we doing wrong?!? We’ve been watching him and he hasn’t given visual or verbal cues that he has to go.
