We’ve recently adopted a rescue and we are in love. It’s been going really well. He’s 7 years old, so not a puppy. We don’t have a vacation planned right now and it’s way too early for me, but I’m wondering how long we should wait before we consider boarding our dog and go on vacation? I work from home and my dog is really attached to me so I don’t want him to feel abandoned.
How soon is too soon? Is it better to board for a shorter time period to see how it goes first? An in-home pet sitter would be a tough option in our area
