Reaction to my dog after 9 years?

I had 4 dogs total and some fosters years ago. Three of my pups have passed as super seniors (19 silky terrier 14 yorkie poo,11 shih tzu). Only one left is my 9 year old Bully. Recently I've had to stop cuddling her, allowing her too close to my body and laying with her. Most o can do are scratches, belly and head rubs, that kind of affections. Anything more and I start to itch. No hives but I do he redness and itch. Almost instantly how weird for this to start so many years later. Obviously the hair type is different than my other dogs and never had any issues with them. Anyone else experience this? I hate it because my sweet girl needs all the loving.
