Rawhide vs Animal hide with fur

Looking to expand my knowledge regarding rawhide vs actual animal hide with fur included, i’m more than aware on how rawhide (white bleach roll) are harmful to dogs; I recognize and understand the difference between collagen chews, pig ears/cow ears/rabbit ears considering they are manly cartilage and more often dehydrated rather than processed with chemicals. But truly what is the different between rawhide and genuine animal hide? Is it the fact that one’s dehydrated and one goes through a chemical process? I see with certain brands they label rabbit skins just as that, but isn’t that also just hide? I want to try out some of Litto Howlers rabbit hides just am concerned if there is still the indigestion risk factor with them. Currently my puppy enjoys cod skins, but am looking to further expand into the realm of other natural yummy chews for him. I give my other dogs furever fierce rabbit ears for dental health and they absolutely love them, they don’t last entirely long though!
