Full disclosure this is about a 5 year old dog not a puppy but I figured if anyone had potty advice it would be here!
We have a concrete deck right outside our back door. My mother's dog will take 2 steps outside the door and pee, then about 2 more steps and poop. I've tried to get Mom to take her off the deck but she can't remember to do it and I'm out of the house 10 hours a day so I can't do anything during those times. It's really gross to walk out on the deck and have to dodge dog gifts.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a no pee spray that would work outside? I'll reapply as often as I need to for it to be effective. Her dog is an ex breeder who lived in a concrete run most of her life so we have that working against us. That's not to say her dog won't go out in the yard but in the morning when there is dew or after a rain especially she would rather just soil my deck.
