What is a good bed for crate training?

Hi everyone, I have a 11 week old puppy that is in a 36”W x 54”L x 46”T crate. He will be a extra large breed and buying a larger crate would be more convenient for my budget. He crate trained but not potty/pads trained. When I leave the pee pads in his crate, he chews it up. I don’t know how to prevent this from happening since he is a puppy after all. I bring him out every hour or two, though he does not potty inside his crate but he will pee and the bed would get wet. I wash his bed in the washer everyday now cause it gets smelly. He gets water 24/7 but I don’t know if I should be removing his water bowl during night time? I would also like what could be done for his bed? Should I switch to a different one? Every time I do clean his crate, he starts biting my pants even if I’m just standing next to him. When I redirect him with toys, he bites my hands instead. Can someone please recommend me what I can do? I am a new puppy parent so please be nice
