Hi I have a 2 year old male french bulldog who pulls on his leash, I have tried everything I can ( See bottom of post) but nothing has helped.
Today I've just about giving up on trying to take him on a walk, I went to pick up his poo and while I was bent down he pulled so hard his harness slipped from his legs and became tangled around his neck. Since he wouldn't stop pulling he was choking himself. The only way I could stop him from fully escaping his harness was to drag him back which i know you're not meant to do.
He constantly pulls and its making me so anxious to take him on walks and I know dogs pick up on feeling but I honestly can't help it.
He also doesn't get walked in a busy area, It's always just me and him.
Everything I tried
-Stopping when leash is tight and only walking when he comes back (he would keep having the leash tight for 10 minutes at a time and it was becoming hard to just stand their for that long every few seconds)
– Rewarding him with treats (He would just ignore them to continue pulling)
-y clip harness (It didn't make a difference)
