Hii everyone, I have a male border collie (1 y.o), and we've had some issues with dogs becoming aggressive out of the blue when smelling him and getting closer to him. Just yesterday one dog got mad at him and bit him in his ear. This is a serious problem now.
Some owners even get surprised and tell me their dog has never shown that type of behavior, but they get crazy around my poor doggy.
My dog has always been playful but cautious, and he's a little bit of a coward to be honest. We've socialized him from the start and he got a trainer when he was a puppy. Is this because they smell his fear, hormones…? I don't know what to do. My dog is not nuttered for the time being, if that's the problem. I honestly don't know.
Has this ever happened to you before? I'm worried he won't want to socialize and play with other dogs anymore and will get defensive because of past experiences with dogs grabbing him. Any help? Thank you so much in advance. 🙂
