Hi everyone!
I have a very spunky and active 15.5-year-old dachshund. He is mostly deaf and blind, but ball is still life lol, and fetch is still his favorite game. We've noticed that he's having more trouble tracking the ball, so I am wondering if anyone knows of a smaller-sized, light-up ball that is BRIGHT? I've seen some that glow-in-the-dark, some that blink with colored lights, and some that seem bright but are designed to zig-zag. I need a ball that goes straight but has a bright light. His favorite are those see-through, spiky balls. Petco has a larger one that flashes multi-colored, but I can't seem to find something with white light because the colorful lights aren't super attention-grabbing.
I've also searched for accessible balls for blind dogs, but have only found balls that make noise, which wouldn't work because of his hearing loss. So, if anyone knows of a light-up ball with a bright light, or even has a suggestion of a safe way I could make one, please let me know! I'm pretty crafty, so I am not opposed to cutting a ball in half to put some sort of light-up mechanism inside.
