We adopted a 1 year old Husky a month ago. She is doing great besides this one bad habit we can’t figure out how to break.
She is crate trained during the day but at night she is left out. We have another dog who is fully trained and he is only crated during the day. The puppy will scream in distress if she is put in her crate at night without our other dog in his.
She gets up in the middle of the night and pees on the rug in the livingroom. This seems to be the only place she pees (luckily a washable rug)
Any advice on how to break this? She would likely pee in her crate and lay in the pee all night if we try crate training her at night. Trying to find another solution.
