I have had this pup since she was about 5 months old. We went through a rough plastic chewing phase ..she destroyed a lot of my son's toys and other household items. She's mostly outgrown it and has finally learned it's not acceptable. I've been giving her her stuffed toys when she tries chewing plastic, and she loves those but rips them apart too fast. I've tried bully sticks, busy bones, pigs ears, nylabones and other hard dog chew toys like Kongs but she won't touch any of them. She only seems to want to chew plastic. I've even tried peanut butter on them to make them more appealing but she just licks off the peanut butter and won't chew it.
She still occasionally tries to sneak something when she can. I just caught her chewing a plastic spoon with a little robot on the top from like a fast food kids meal toy thing. No idea how she got it but I tried to give her an appropriate chew but she won't touch it. She just went to her bed.
The only thing she chews is a greeny dental chew but they're not long term and she just chews it to devour it, obviously.
Does anyone have any ideas what I could get her to chew on that she would actually use? I want to redirect her chewing habit to something she won't get in trouble for but I've just had no luck.
