I am training a puppy, his name government name is Diogenes, we call him Dio, and sometimes I call him DD (Diamond dog/Dio Dog).
We have another puppy named Moo, who we also have various names for, my favorite is Moopert.
I don't really want to confuse them, but these names often just slip out. Am I worried over nothing? Will they learn these names apply to them the same as their given names?
