Sorry if this is not the right place to post, but I've been on nights for a couple years now and have been really wanting a dog for a while now. However, I don't want it to be lonely during the day or causing havock while I'm sleeping during the day due to bordem. Does anyone know if dogs change their sleeping schedule to their owners? Or is it up during the day no matter what? The last thing I'd want is to get a dog, just for it to be bored out of its mind, or too tired to even spend time with me during the night. I would be able to let it out on my 1 hour lunch break during the night. I also live in an apartment and it allows dogs, so that wouldn't be an issue. I just want to treat a potential dog right, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
