Our springer spaniel had an easy adolescence in the first couple months, but since around 10.5 months old, she's been a lot more anxious about noises and other dogs. She'll still follow commands pretty well– she's just a lot more spooked at things than she used to be.
It's on our walks or park visits that she'll get spooked. Yesterday she didn't wanna go outside because of construction on our neighbor's house (loud hammers etc.). Today she was scared of a loud group of geese on the other side of the park, like lunging to get back to the car.
It never used to be this way. I'm wondering if it's that she's been out of the house less this winter from all the blizzards we've had this year.
Anyway– is this normal for the age? Any advice for helping her?
