10 week old land shark vs adult and old man dog.

This is more a general question as this is the first time I’ve had to deal with this as the last time I had a puppy was three years ago and our older gentleman was 3 years younger and was more able to establish himself. Our land shark is 10 weeks old and he will not take our old dog‘s warnings that he’s had enough(and I’ve stepped in to move him away and correct) our 3 year old dog has put the puppy in his place enough now where there is established respect. For anyone that has been through this I just want to make sure I’m doing this correctly but just continuing to correct and giving old man Hugo the space from the puppy when he’s had enough. I’m using the leash method now where the puppy is attached to me but any other tips for keeping the peace is appreciated, I’ve just not run into this before and don’t want to have issues later as this puppy is going to be a lot bigger than then the old man.
