I recently finished Barking Orders by Roxy the Cattle Dog and really enjoyed it.
It is written entirely from the dog’s perspective. Very observant, slightly judgmental humor about her humans. The vet visit and cone chapter especially made me laugh.
I think it resonated with me because I have a cattle dog and so many of the situations felt painfully relatable. That said, I am open to any breed. I am just not sure where to start looking.
Not really looking for training manuals or heavy emotional stories. More interested in smart, personality driven dog narration or strong animal voice.
Any recommendations?
