So I’m a little frustrated and hoping someone has advice.
My puppy was doing pretty well using puppy pads. The problem was… he kept grabbing them, dragging them around, shredding them, basically treating them like a toy
To fix that, I bought one of those plastic puppy pad holders with the clips that keep the pad locked in place. It definitely solved the “throwing it around” issue… but now he completely refuses to use the pad at all. He’ll usually now go next to it. He acts like the holder is lava.
Nothing else changed — same location, same type of pads, same routine. Just added the plastic holder.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Did your puppy just need time to adjust to the new texture/feel? I’m wondering if the plastic frame feels weird on his paws or if he just doesn’t like change.
Any tips for getting him comfortable using it again?
