We brought home a rescue lab on Sunday who was found as a stray. He’s finally a bit more settled during the day, no whining 24/7. But from about 7-10pm he is really difficult; Nipping at our 3 and 6 yo and biting us. But the real problem is after the kids are down for bed between 730-8, anytime we correct or redirect the mouthiness he barks the most piercing bark and gets stuck in that mode. It wakes up the girls. While sleep for him and us overnight is totally fine, that witching hour is wreaking havoc on our girls sleep and as a result our nervous systems. Do we need to do training? Rehome him? This isn’t our first dog but our first rescue and first puppy with the kids. Our first family dog was already 6 by the time the kids came along. We’re really struggling and want to make sure we do what’s right for both the puppy and the girls. TIA 🙏
